The Story
Born in the French Pyrennes then spliting her time between Paris, New York and Newport, RI. Isabelle artistic inspiration comes from her eclectic life of travel. Dragged to museums, churches, expos, and flea markets and through the streets of Europe since before she could walk, she was taught to experience different cultures by observing their culture, food, traditions, architecture and art.
She began drawing and painting at an early age, and eventually moved to Paris in 1994, where she started her formal art education, followed by a year at the Beaux Art de Nantes in 1996. Each summer interning for reknown jeweler, Lorenz Baumer. In 1997, she returned to the U.S. to continue her education at Parsons School of Design in New York graduating in 2001. During the summer of 1999 she was invited to study engraving at the Beaux Art de Paris. Isabelle participated in several group several group shows during her tenure at Parsons, the most reknown being Take Home a Nude.
While pursuing her studies in New York she launched a successful jewelry and accesories line, Isabelle Bijoux, featured in such reviews as WWD, Elle & Instyle, to name a few. Selling at Herni Bendel's, NYC, Bon Marche, Paris & Kaviar and Kind, LA...
In the spring of 2015 Isabelle presented her first Solo Show, in the Chelsea District of New York, "GILDED" Then was invited to show at the Everhart Museum, in the summer of 2015, "To Your Health" with the honor of one of my pieces being featured on the invitation.
Isabelle then moved back to Paris to continue her career in the heart of Europe.
Many of Isabelle’s works have been acquired for private collections in New York, Paris, Newport, Los Angeles, London and Houston.
